In this hands-on class, parents will learn and practice life-saving skills for addressing choking and performing CPR on infants. Through a realistic emergency scenario, you’ll gain the confidence to act quickly and effectively in critical moments. Step-by-step, we'll guide you through essential rescue techniques, with plenty of opportunities to practice on mannequins and ask questions throughout.
The instructor, Caroline Moran, is certified by the American Heart Association as a Basic Life Support Instructor. She has taught CPR/AED skills to hundreds of health care providers and lay people since 2015. We will use some materials and techniques associated with certification; however, this course will NOT result in any certification.
What You’ll Learn:
Infant CPR: Learn the vital steps to perform CPR on infants in an emergency situation.
Choking Rescue Techniques: Understand how to recognize and respond to choking in infants, including effective ways to clear an airway.
Realistic Scenario Practice: Watch a realistic emergency simulation and practice your skills step-by-step to feel prepared and confident.
